As a filmmaker, Nan writes, directs, and produces films independently, and she is proficient in multiple aspects of the filmmaking process. Nan is committed to examining human nature through an intercultural lens and creating works that resonate spiritually with the audience. Her multiple independent film projects have been selected for, nominated for, and won awards at different film festivals worldwide.
Nan is passionate about teaching, and she has taught film production and theory courses at the university level. She is the Chair of the XR (VR, MR, AR) Program at the Poppy Jasper International Film Festival. Nan also has experience evaluating films at the San Francisco International Film Festival and programming festival events at the San Francisco Green Film Festival. She holds an MFA in Film from the California College of the Arts.
